Projects in the Works

This blog is an announcement of sorts. I’m coming out of a months-long illness, and I’m able to write again. That’s a relief!

For those of you who have asked about the next book… I bought the rights to Patriarch Run back from the publisher. Our idea is to re-release that book as the prequel to the Billy Erikson Series, to which there are three completed books thus far. The series takes place in Patriarch after the collapse. Collapse, by the way, will be the new title of Patriarch Run.

In The Fourth Seal, the lights have gone out. The only currency is food and the ammunition stockpiled to defend it. Billy has to trade handloaded ammunition for medicine at Fort Carson in order to save his mom, who is dying from sepsis. He wrestles with the knowledge that it was his own father who wiped out civilization. And everybody he meets on the road is trying to kill him.

In Nine Rules of the Apocalypse, Billy and his mom are trying to build an alliance with the corrupt remnants of Fort Carson. If the alliance doesn’t succeed, the survivors of Patriarch will be overrun by the cannibals who are ravishing the mountain communities of Colorado.

Readers familiar with my work will recognize the fast-paced narratives, the deep themes, and the compelling characters in the series.
